About us

Comedy Hall started putting on great shows in April 2006, and we’re still going. Run by Steve and Katie Lodge, it’s a labour of love for us and not a money-making machine. We want you to have fun, and welcome your support.

Our events are held at two locations in Mid Devon:

TCAT in Tiverton, a 300-seat theatre on the Tiverton High School site with tiered seating.

The Venue in Uffculme, a purpose-built 400-seat theatre on the Uffculme school site.

The following information should also prove useful.

Ample free parking

There is a large free car park at both sites.

Buying tickets

If you buy online from Ticketsource or Ticketsignite keep your receipt/email. We DO NOT post tickets. Please print and bring your receipt; your name will be on the door. Seats are numbered – but we may not always operate allocated seating.

Online ticket sites charge a fee for booking. There is no fee if you buy printed tickets at the TCAT Box Office (The Busy Bee). We do NOT provide refunds. Line-up subject to change without notice.

Opening times

Doors open at 7.00 unless otherwise stated on the home page, and the comedy show will normally start at around 8pm. Please note that tickets are bought first come first served basis. There will usually be an interval with a licenced bar. Do not bring your own drink or you may be asked to leave.

Licensed bar – and age restrictions

During all Comedy Hall events the bar is licensed and operated by the venue. It is a CASH bar only. This means we can serve alcohol (and soft drinks) at the bar.

This also means you cannot bring your own drinks into the venue.

Note that no glass is allowed in the auditorium, so any bottled drinks must be poured into plastic cups. Tins are acceptable in the auditorium. Drinks are also not allowed outside of the foyer, due to licensing restrictions (i.e. outside the front doors).

Age

Over 16s only please unless stated otherwise. We may, at our discretion, allow younger people accompanied by an adult – but comedy themes often contain adult material so please do not expect entry even if you have bought under 16s a ticket.

Any breach of the rules will result in a ban from ALL Comedy Hall events.
